# Buy a Service

> How customers buy a service through Newie from a link, QR code, Store, Tap to Pay, or the Newie app.

## Overview

A Newie purchase starts from the business selling the service. They might share a direct link, QR code, Store page, Tap to Pay session, or in-app purchase path.

## Ways to Buy

A business can send you to checkout in a few ways:

* A direct payment link
* A QR code
* Tap to Pay in person
* Their Newie Store
* Their profile in the Newie app

## How Checkout Works

    Tap the payment link, scan the QR code, open the Store, or choose the service in the Newie app.

    For Tap to Pay, the business starts checkout on their iPhone while you are with them.

  <Step title="Review the service">
    Check the service details, price, billing timing, and any setup fees or terms shown at checkout.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose from the available options">
    You only see the options the business has made available for that service. The checkout may offer a subscription, fixed-term subscription, one-off purchase, instalment plan, or Buy Now Pay Later option.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Agree to terms if they are shown">
    If Terms of Service are attached, review and agree before completing checkout.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete payment">
    Enter payment details and complete checkout.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the New Purchase email">
    Newie sends a New Purchase email. It includes the Customer Manage Link, receipt details, download links, and agreed terms record when those apply to the purchase.

The business decides when checkout happens. Some services are paid before delivery, some are paid in person, and some are paid after the work is complete.

## After You Buy

If the business configured a Welcome Email, you may also receive onboarding details such as a booking link, onboarding form, app link, portal link, community invite, or next steps.

You do not need to install the Newie app just to open a payment link or Store link.
