# Sell Photography Deposits and Packages

> Use Newie for photography deposits, shoot fees, creative packages, instalment plans, final balances, and client agreements.

## Overview

Creative packages often need money collected around deposits, staged payments, final balances, or agreed client terms. Newie keeps the payment and customer record attached to the job.

## Before the Shoot Is Locked In

Before the shoot is locked in, secure the date, confirm what is included, collect the deposit, and make the final-balance timing clear.

Keep shoot planning, gallery delivery, editing, and client communication in the normal photography workflow.

## What Protects the Photographer

* A booked date is inventory that may be hard to resell if the customer cancels late
* The client needs to know what is included before the shoot, not after seeing the gallery
* Final balances should be clear before delivery, especially for weddings, events, galleries, albums, or commercial files
* Usage rights, raw files, editing limits, and turnaround time need to be agreed before payment
* Add-ons such as extra edits, prints, rush delivery, or album upgrades should have their own payment path

## Common Setup

1. Create One-Off Purchases for booking fees, deposits, shoot fees, mini sessions, or paid-upfront packages
2. Create Instalment Plans for larger packages paid over scheduled payments
3. Create services for different package levels, session types, or add-ons
4. Add Terms of Service for booking terms, cancellation rules, usage terms, payment expectations, or delivery conditions
5. Add a Welcome Email with preparation guides, booking forms, location details, questionnaires, or upload links
6. Create groups to organize services by package type, photographer, location, campaign, or offer

  </Step>

  <Step title="Manage future payments">

  </Step>
</Steps>

## Photography Terms to Define

* Deposit or booking fee and whether it is refundable
* Shoot date, location, session length, and included deliverables
* Final balance due date
* Cancellation or rescheduling rules
* Usage rights, image delivery, and whether raw files are included
* Whether final files, albums, prints, or galleries are delivered only after full payment
* How extra edits, prints, rush delivery, or add-ons are purchased
