How to Buy a Service on Newie

1

Open the purchase page

Tap the payment link, scan the QR code, use Tap to Pay with the provider, or select a service from the Store.
2

Review the service

Review service details and pricing.
3

Choose the purchase option

Choose the option the provider offers: Subscription, Fixed-Term Subscription, One-Off Purchase, Installment Plan, pay in full, or BNPL where available.
4

Agree to terms where required

If Terms of Service is attached, agree to the terms.
5

Complete checkout

Enter payment details and complete checkout.
6

Receive confirmation

Receive a purchase confirmation email with the Customer Manage Link for the purchase, and the signed agreement where Terms of Service is enabled.
Checkout can happen before service delivery, at the time of delivery, or after delivery depending on how the provider runs the service. If the provider configured a Welcome Email, the customer may also receive onboarding details such as a booking link, onboarding form, app link, portal link, or next steps. Guest checkout is supported - no Newie account required.

Purchasing via the Newie App

Customers can also browse provider profiles and purchase services directly through the Newie app.

Managing a Purchase as a Customer

The Customer Manage Link is the main entry point for managing anything available for a purchase. It is included when a customer first subscribes or buys where available, and surfaced again in overdue emails.
  • Update payment method via customer portal
  • Retry failed payments
  • View payment history and upcoming billing where available
  • Update the account email address where available
  • Cancel immediately or schedule a cancellation only if self-cancel is enabled by the provider
  • Pause only if self-pause is enabled by the provider
  • Resume a paused subscription where available
If pause or cancel is not available, the customer must contact the provider because the provider owns the service relationship, terms, and cancellation settings. If the provider is unresponsive or a payment looks wrong, contact Newie support with the provider name, service name, and purchase email.

Changing the Email Address on a Customer Account

If the customer can access their purchase, they can update their email address from the Customer Manage Link or in the Newie app. If the email address has a typo, or the customer cannot access the account because the email is wrong, the customer or provider should contact Newie support. Newie support can help update the email address or work with the customer to update it. If the customer originally signed in with Apple and used Apple’s private relay hidden email address, the provider may see Request Email in the customer profile. That action asks the customer to confirm an email address so the provider can deliver the service.

Fixing Payment Issues as a Customer

Common reasons for failure: expired card, insufficient funds, bank block, or incorrect card details.
1

Open the Newie email

Open the email from Newie about the failed payment or overdue invoice.
2

Use the payment link

Tap the link to update payment method or pay.
3

Enter new card details

Enter new card details if needed.
4

Retry or wait for auto retry

Retry the payment where available, or wait for the next automatic retry if one is scheduled.
If a subscription shows as overdue, the customer should use the Customer Manage Link in Newie’s overdue email to pay, retry where available, or update their payment method. This is the same main self-service link used for the purchase. The provider can also send the Customer Manage Link from the app if the customer cannot find the email.

Service Issues and Provider Responsibility

Newie provides payment, checkout, subscription, and customer management tools. The provider is responsible for service delivery, cancellation policy, customer communication, and service-quality concerns. For service questions, customers should contact the provider first. If they cannot reach the provider or believe a payment is wrong, contact Newie support with the provider name, service name, customer email, and payment details. Last updated: 2026-05-30
