Overview
Map the existing offer, customer list, and payment workflow before new checkout links go out. That keeps the move cleaner and avoids pushing customers into the wrong flow. What to Plan First
- Which existing offers should become Newie services
- Which old plans can be consolidated into fewer, cleaner services
- Which customers need to move across
- Whether each offer is ongoing, fixed-term, one-off, or paid in scheduled instalments
- Whether customers need new terms, Welcome Emails, or start dates
- How you will tell customers to switch
- Who will follow up with customers who have not checked out
- Whether Newie’s guided migration support is a better fit than a self-managed customer move
Use the Move to Simplify Your Services
Switching to Newie is a good time to clean up old offers before rebuilding them as services. For example, if you sell online coaching and customers are on different monthly or fortnightly prices, you usually do not need one service for every legacy rate. Create a small number of clean base services around the real offer and billing cadence, then use Custom Pricing Links for customers who need an old price, negotiated price, specific transition start date, or tailored pricing setup. Create another service when the offer or billing cadence is genuinely different, such as monthly coaching versus fortnightly coaching. Use custom pricing links when the service is the same, but the customer needs tailored pricing details.Migration Steps
1
Decide which old plans can become cleaner Newie services
2
Choose the closest matching billing setup for each service
3
Set up equivalent pricing, billing schedules, terms, Welcome Emails, and payment options
4
Share standard service links for customers who fit the base offer, and custom links for customer-specific transitions
5
Communicate the switch to customers before asking them to buy or subscribe through Newie
6
Monitor who has switched and follow up with customers who have not completed checkout
Guided Migration Support
If you are moving from Stripe directly to Newie, contact Newie before asking customers to switch. Guided migration support is a fit if:- You already have active customers or subscriptions in Stripe
- You want help moving customer billing into Newie
- You need to switch customers in bulk
- You are moving from Strut or another platform where Newie can confirm the right migration path
