Overview

Choosing a service type means matching the offer to the way the customer pays. Start with payment shape, not delivery method.

Service Type Comparison

For customer financing on an eligible one-off purchase, use BNPL when it is enabled for the account. The customer pays the BNPL provider over time and you are funded upfront for the purchase amount, less applicable fees. For scheduled payments you manage in Newie, use an Instalment Plan.

Common Choices

Fixed-Term Subscription or Instalment Plan?

Use a fixed-term subscription when the customer is buying a recurring service that happens on a regular billing rhythm, such as 12 weekly coaching payments. Use an instalment plan when the customer is paying off a fixed total, such as a package price split into scheduled payments. Last updated: 2026-06-26
