Overview
BNPL in Newie is a checkout payment method, not a separate service type. Customers can pay over time through the BNPL provider while Newie records the sale, fee, payout, and provider status.Where BNPL Applies
BNPL is for eligible one-off purchases. Compare the payment flows:
Afterpay / Clearpay, Affirm, and Klarna each have their own country, currency, setup, and amount rules. Newie checks the current provider status while you edit the eligible One-Off Purchase.
Enable BNPL

Open Accepted Payment Methods
On iOS or macOS, go to Settings → Payments & Payouts → Accepted Payment Methods.
2
Enable BNPL providers
Turn on the BNPL providers available for your account, such as Afterpay / Clearpay, Affirm, or Klarna.
3

If Newie shows Pending action or asks you to complete setup in Stripe, follow the in-app prompt.
4
Open the eligible One-Off Purchase
Open the eligible One-Off Purchase you want to sell with BNPL.
5
Turn on Buy Now Pay Later

BNPL Provider Status
When BNPL is on for an eligible One-Off Purchase, Newie shows the current BNPL provider status in the service editor.
Newie checks current BNPL limits when you edit the service. If a BNPL provider limit changes, check the status shown in the service editor.
