How Integrations Work

Zapier is Newie’s self-serve integration path. It connects Newie events to the other apps a provider uses for delivery, onboarding, reporting, communication, CRM, and operations.

Integration Paths

Zapier integrations

Use no-code Newie triggers to send customer, purchase, subscription, and payment events into another app.

Custom integration support

For partner, native, API, or code-level workflows, contact Newie support.
Most pages in this section are Zapier patterns. They show the Newie trigger to use, the third-party action to configure, and the points to check before turning the Zap on.

Zapier Integrations

Zapier is a no-code automation tool that sends Newie events to other services. Set up the connection once, choose the Newie trigger, then choose the action in the other app. Zapier works best when the workflow starts with something in Newie: a customer buys a service, a subscription starts, a payment becomes paid, or an invoice becomes overdue. Common actions include sending customer details to another app, creating a row, adding a tag, posting a message, sending an email, or starting onboarding.

Connecting Newie to Zapier

1

Open Connect Zapier in Newie

Open Settings → Integrations → Connect Zapier. If the row already says Zapier Connected, open that instead. Tap Set Up if Newie asks you to connect.
2

Copy the API Token

Copy the API Token.
3

Create a Zap

Go to zapier.com and create a new Zap.
4

Choose Newie as the trigger app

Search for Newie as the trigger app.
5

Connect the token

Paste the API Token when prompted.
6

Choose the trigger event

Choose the Newie trigger that matches the workflow. Use Subscription Created for the initial subscription purchase, Subscription Started when paid subscription access begins, One-Off Purchase Complete for one-off purchases, and Payment Paid when the workflow needs confirmed payment. For BECS Direct Debit, Payment Paid fires after bank confirmation, not at initial payment submission.
7

Configure the action

Configure the action in the connected app and confirm the required action fields are available in that connected Zapier account.

Zapier Events Reference

Newie provides Zapier triggers only. Use Newie as the trigger app, then configure the action in the connected app. Triggers cover customer, subscription, purchase, and payment events. Newie does not send payout reports, payout batches, or payout fee breakdowns through Zapier. For payout reports and tax exports, use Payouts in Newie. Third-party actions can vary by app version, account plan, permissions, and workspace setup. Treat the app-specific pages as patterns, then confirm the exact action and required fields inside the connected Zapier account before turning on the Zap.

Subscription Events

Sent when an event related to a subscription occurs. These events can also apply to instalment plan activity because instalment plans are powered by subscriptions.

One-Off Purchase Events

Sent when an event related to a one-off purchase occurs.

Payment Events

Sent when a payment event occurs, regardless of whether the payment is for a one-off purchase, subscription, or instalment plan.

Custom Integration Support

Contact Newie support when Zapier cannot expose the action you need, when a workflow needs code-level access, or when the business needs a supported native, partner, or custom setup. Newie does not currently offer a public self-serve API.

Common Integration Questions

Go to Settings → Integrations → Connect Zapier, tap Set Up, copy the API Token, then use Newie as the trigger app in Zapier. If Newie already shows Zapier Connected, open that row to see the token.
Go to Settings → Integrations → Connect Zapier or Zapier Connected. If the Zapier row is not visible, finish the account and payout setup steps Newie shows in Settings first.
Open Sell → Services, tap the ... menu next to the service, open the share sheet, and use Copy Offering ID. Use that ID when a Zapier filter needs to target one specific Newie service.
Mostly, yes. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, the current tool guides explain Zapier workflows where Newie is the trigger app and the connected tool is the action app.
Not currently. For self-serve integrations, use Zapier. For deeper or code-level integration needs, contact Newie support.
Contact Newie support. The team can provide the connected Stripe Express account ID for advanced integrations or custom dashboard setup.
Use the dedicated Newie + Xero or Newie + QuickBooks pages. They cover the recommended payout-report workflow and the lower-volume Zapier alternatives.
Use Reports & Reporting for sales, payout, customer, subscriber, one-off purchase, and instalment plan exports. For complete data migration, contact support.
