Why Connect Newie + Kahunas

For online coaches using Kahunas for accountability, check-ins, and progress tracking. Newie handles billing; Kahunas handles coaching. Zapier can create paying clients in Kahunas with the right program details where the required Kahunas fields are available.

Common Zaps

Subscription Started → Kahunas: Create New Client When billing starts and the subscription becomes active, create the client in Kahunas with the right package and check-in setup. Map email, name, and service name. One-Off Purchase Complete → Kahunas: Create New Client For one-off audits or assessment purchases, create the client in Kahunas after purchase, or notify the coach if the Zap does not have enough package/form details. Payment Overdue → Slack notification Alert the coach so they can pause check-in expectations for an overdue client. Subscription Ends → Slack/Email notification Notify the coach to archive the client in Kahunas and start offboarding.

What You’ll Need

  • Newie account with Zapier connected (Settings → Integrations → Zapier)
  • A Kahunas account with coach/admin access for the user authorizing Zapier
  • The Kahunas package, check-in form, daily check-in form, initial Q&A, and plan start details needed by the Create New Client action

Setup at a Glance

  1. In Newie, go to Settings → Integrations → Zapier and copy your API token.
  2. In Zapier, create a new Zap and choose Newie as the trigger. Pick Subscription Started or One-Off Purchase Complete.
  3. Connect Kahunas as the action app.
  4. Choose Create New Client.
  5. Map Newie email, name, and service name into the corresponding Kahunas fields, along with the required Kahunas package and form fields.
  6. Test, then enable.
See Connecting Newie to Zapier for setup details.

Notes

  • Before turning on the Zap, confirm Kahunas exposes Create New Client and the package/form fields required for your workflow. If those fields are unavailable, trigger a coach notification instead of creating an incomplete client.
  • Kahunas’ Create New Client action needs more setup detail than a contact action. If you cannot map package and form fields confidently, trigger a coach notification instead.
  • Use Filter by Zapier on the Newie service/offering ID if you run different coaching programs through the same Newie account.
