Providers can use Newie on iPhone and Mac. Customers can buy and manage their purchases in a browser, including on an Android phone.

Apps and devices

There is no Android provider app. Tap to Pay is not available on Mac or through customer web checkout. Keep your browser up to date. Newie’s web support starts at Chrome 92 and Safari 15, including Safari on iPhone.

Countries and payout accounts

Choose from the countries shown during provider setup. Select the country where your business receives payouts and where its payout bank account is located; Newie uses this to create the connected Stripe account. If your country is missing or marked unsupported, contact Newie support to check availability. Do not select another country simply to continue. Use the countries offered in Newie, even if Stripe is available elsewhere. That Stripe account’s country cannot be changed later on the same Newie account. If the business moves country or needs a bank account in another country, contact Newie support before changing the setup. You may need a new account.

Selling currencies

Services use your account’s default selling currency. You cannot change a service’s currency yourself. To charge for a service in another currency, contact Newie support before creating it and say which currency you need. Support will check whether it can be set up for your account. An existing subscription keeps its billing currency. Changing its price or using Switch Service cannot convert it. If you agree to charge in another currency, arrange a new purchase through the approved service and agree when the original billing should end. Customers in other countries can generally pay by card if their issuer accepts the payment. They pay in the service currency, and their bank may add conversion or international-transaction fees. Before paying, they can use the displayed amount and currency to ask their bank for an estimated conversion and any fees. Newie does not quote their bank’s final converted charge. See Stripe’s currency guidance. For Buy Now Pay Later, check the options Newie shows for the service and account. Availability depends on the provider and customer countries, currency and price.
