When to use one
Use a custom link for an arrangement you have discussed with a customer, such as fortnightly billing instead of monthly, a different starting date or a tailored price. A separate service is useful if you want to list that pricing arrangement in your Store or share it regularly as a standard option. The custom pricing applies to anyone who uses the link. The link is not tied to a named customer or limited to one purchase. For an early-buyer price with a limited number of places, use a separate service so you can stop selling it without closing your regular service. Track the purchases and turn off that service’s Available for Sale setting when the allocation is filled. You cannot set a buyer limit on a custom pricing link in the app.What you can change
The custom-pricing screen keeps the service type and lets you change the fields available for it:
You can also adjust Add Fee to Price where it appears in the custom-pricing screen. Check the amount and full payment schedule before sharing.
Buying through a custom link creates a new purchase; it does not update an existing customer’s billing. Use Subscription Management or Instalment Plans for that.
Create the custom link
- Open Sell → Services and the service’s … menu.
- Choose Custom price for a One-Off Purchase, or Custom price or start date for a subscription or instalment plan.
- Enter the arrangement you agreed with the customer. Use the table above to check which details you can change, then review the price and payment schedule.
- Share the custom link or QR code with the intended customer, or use it during an assisted checkout.
