Use Purchase as Customer to guide someone through checkout from Newie while they are with you or speaking with you. It suits a phone booking or front-desk sale where you have the customer’s permission to help. Complete payout setup and turn on Available for Sale for the service before starting.

Start the assisted checkout

  1. Open Sell → Services, then the service’s … menu.
  2. Choose Purchase as Customer. On Mac, Newie opens an assisted checkout window for that service.
  3. Enter the customer’s name and email. Use an existing customer match only after confirming it is the same person.
  4. Confirm the service, price, billing schedule and start date with the customer, then complete checkout together.

Keep the customer’s approval and login with them

Let the customer review their payment method and any Terms of Service before agreeing. They should receive and enter any one-time verification code themselves; do not ask them to send it to you. If the email belongs to another Newie account, or the customer cannot access it, contact support. Do not create another identity to get around the problem. Helping with checkout does not give you access to the customer’s Newie account.

Choose between Purchase as Customer and Tap to Pay

Use Tap to Pay when someone is with you and wants to tap a contactless card or wallet on your supported iPhone. Use Purchase as Customer for the regular guided checkout on iPhone or Mac. Last updated: 2026-09-05
