Why Connect Newie + HubFit

For gyms, studios, and fitness communities using HubFit for memberships, class check-ins, and engagement. Newie handles billing; Zapier can pass paid-status signals to HubFit so staff can keep member access aligned with payment status where supported actions are available.

Common Zaps

Subscription Started → HubFit: Add New Client When billing starts and the subscription becomes active, add the customer as a client in HubFit. Map email, name, and subscription tier. Subscription Paused → Slack/Email notification Notify a coach or studio admin to pause the member’s access in HubFit - most gym tools don’t allow remote “pause” via Zapier, so route this to a human. Payment Paid → Slack channel message Post to a #signups Slack channel so the team sees new revenue without checking Newie. For BECS Direct Debit, Payment Paid fires after bank confirmation, not at initial payment submission. Subscription Ends → Slack/Email notification Notify staff to remove the member from HubFit’s active community and revoke check-in access.

What You’ll Need

  • Newie account with Zapier connected (Settings → Integrations → Zapier)
  • A HubFit account with admin access for the user who’ll authorize Zapier
  • Member tiers or community groups in HubFit already configured to match your Newie services

Setup at a Glance

  1. In Newie, go to Settings → Integrations → Zapier and copy your API token.
  2. In Zapier, create a new Zap and choose Newie as the trigger. Pick Subscription Started.
  3. Connect HubFit as the action app and choose Add New Client.
  4. Add follow-up HubFit actions if needed, such as Add Client to Community, Add Workout Plan to Client Profile, Add Nutrition Plan to Client Profile, or HubFit’s onboarding-flow action.
  5. Map Newie email, name, and service name into the corresponding HubFit fields.
  6. Test, then enable.
See Connecting Newie to Zapier for setup details.

Notes

  • Before turning on the Zap, confirm HubFit exposes Add New Client and any follow-up actions you plan to use. If an action or required field is unavailable, use a staff notification or HubFit-supported API/webhook workflow instead of describing the step as automatic.
  • Use HubFit’s native Zapier actions first. Use Webhooks by Zapier only for workflows that HubFit does not expose as native Zapier actions.
  • For multi-location studios, add a Filter by Zapier step on the Newie service ID so members are routed to the right HubFit location/group.
