Overview
Coaching retainers are recurring access offers. Newie manages the billing, terms, receipts, and customer record while the retainer itself can include calls, reviews, office hours, async support, or resources.Define the Retainer
A retainer only works when the customer understands what is included each month. Set up the recurring payment, then define the boundaries around calls, async support, response times, resources, unused access, and cancellation. Use Newie to make the commercial arrangement clear before the customer subscribes.Common Setup
- Create a Subscription for monthly coaching, advisory support, group access, office hours, or async support
- Add Terms of Service for minimum terms, included access, cancellation notice, response times, scope boundaries, and refund rules
- Add a Setup Fee when the customer should pay an onboarding, audit, setup, or first-session amount immediately
- Set a Billing Start Date when the customer buys now but the retainer should begin later
- Add a Welcome Email with onboarding questionnaires, calendar links, community links, portal links, and first-month expectations
- Create a custom link when one customer needs tailored pricing details without creating a new public offer
