Newie keeps fees clear. You enter the price, review the fee setup before customers buy, and see the sale, fee, and payout amounts in your reports. The idea is simple: what you see is what you get.Documentation Index

One Simple Fee Model
Newie uses Stripe for payment processing, including Stripe’s payment infrastructure and risk tooling where applicable. The underlying Stripe processing cost is included in the Newie fee for payments processed through Newie. You do not pay a Newie fee plus a separate Stripe card-processing fee for the same Newie payment. You still get that payment stack, but Newie does not split it into extra fee lines for hosted checkout, subscription billing, failed payments, or Radar-style fraud tools. That means the number is easier to understand. You can look at the service price, the payment method, and any enabled Newie features, then know what fee applies before the customer buys.Newie Fees at a Glance
These are Newie fees. They already include the underlying Stripe processing cost for Newie payments, rather than sitting on top of a separate Stripe fee.| Fee | Amount | When It Applies |
|---|---|---|
| Standard Transaction Fee - United States | 3.4% + 30c | Per successful card payment for United States provider accounts. Applies across service types: subscriptions, one-off services, and installment plans. |
| Standard Transaction Fee - All Other Enabled Provider Countries | 2.9% + 30c / 30p | Per successful card payment for enabled non-US provider accounts. Applies across service types: subscriptions, one-off services, and installment plans. The UK fixed fee is 30p; other fixed fees follow the provider currency shown in Newie. |
| Buy Now, Pay Later | 5.95% + 30c / 30p | Per BNPL transaction (Afterpay, Affirm, Klarna), depending on your region |
| Terms of Service | 0.4% | Added per transaction when Terms of Service is enabled on the service |
| International Transaction Fee | 2% | When funds are received in a different currency to the payout currency, handled via Stripe |
| Instant Payout | 1.5% | Added on top of the Instant Payout amount you choose. See Instant Payouts for eligibility and details. |

Compare the Full Fee Stack
Ask these questions before comparing Newie with another platform:- Is subscription billing included, or is there an extra billing percentage?
- Are invoices, hosted checkout pages, customer portals, or custom domains charged separately?
- Are fraud tools, Radar-style screening, or dispute tools charged separately?
- Are international cards, currency conversion, or overseas payment methods charged differently?
- Are dispute, counter-dispute, refund, failed-payment, or failed-payout fees passed on?
- Are any fees charged later at month end instead of appearing beside the original transaction?
- Does the platform charge both a platform fee and a payment processing fee?
Add Fee to Price
You can enable Add Fee to Price on a service so the customer covers the transaction fee in a single all-inclusive price. The customer sees one price at checkout; the original service stays easy to understand. Use this when you want to enter the amount you want to receive and let Newie calculate the customer-facing price needed to cover the fee.Where to See Fees in Reports
Use payout reports when you need fee detail for tax, accounting, or reconciliation:- Payout Summary: Best for tax reporting and accountant handover because it summarises payouts and Newie fee details for the selected date range.
- Individual Payout Download: Best for reconciling one bank deposit because it shows the transactions, refunds, fees, and adjustments inside that payout.
- All Transactions: Best when you need transaction-level payout activity, including fees and Payment Method Country where available.
