Overview
Account and service features are the setup layer behind selling in Newie. They control who is selling, what customers can buy, how services are priced, and which checkout options are available.Authentication, Account & Profile
Sign-In Methods
- Continue with Email - Email-based sign-in with a one-time verification code
- Continue with Google - Sign in using a Google account
- Sign in with Apple - Sign in using an Apple ID, with optional email hiding via Apple’s private relay
Access & Onboarding
- Account Review & Approval - All accounts are reviewed and approved before selling is enabled
- Region Selection - Choose the country where the provider’s bank account is located (permanent, set during Stripe connection)
- Service Currency - Services use a default selling currency. Support can create templates in supported selling currencies on request; self-serve per-service currency changes are not currently available
- Provider Setup Flow - Guided onboarding with progress tracking
- Tutorial - In-app walkthrough for new users
- Sales Goal Setting - Key revenue-growth feature where providers set an annual target that Newie shows as a goal line on the Sales graph
- Demo Mode - Preview the app with different region/currency settings
Profile
- Display Name - Name shown to customers
- Biography - Provider or business description (up to 2,000 characters)
- Profile Image - Photo or logo with cropping support
- Profession - Provider’s service type or title
- Instagram Handle - Link an Instagram profile
- Business Address - Managed via Stripe
Account Settings
- Email Change - Update account email with verification
- User ID - Unique account identifier
- Logout - Secure sign-out with confirmation
- Account Deletion - Permanently delete account (requires canceling all subscriptions first)

Service Setup Entry Points
- Subscription - Recurring service setup. Use Unlimited payments for an ongoing subscription, or set a fixed number of payments for a fixed-term subscription
- One-Off Purchase - Single-purchase service with one invoice and payment, no recurring billing
- Instalment Plan - Fixed total split into scheduled instalment invoices; provider receives each payment as it is collected
Subscription Configurations
- Ongoing Subscription - Subscription that continues until canceled
- Fixed-Term Subscription - Subscription that automatically ends after a set number of payments

Billing Configuration
- Billing Start: Purchase Date - Billing starts the day the customer purchases
- Billing Start: Fixed Date - Billing starts on a specific calendar date
- Billing Start: Delayed - Billing starts a set number of days/weeks after purchase
- Billing Start: Rolling - New customer payments start on a recurring schedule (e.g. every Monday)
- Custom Billing Period - Configure non-standard billing intervals
Visibility & Lifecycle
- Available for Sale - Toggle to enable or disable purchasing
- Add to Store / Remove from Store - Control whether the service appears in the Store
- Publish to Web - Make the Store publicly available where enabled. Search appearance depends on external indexing and discoverability
- Draft - Service created but not yet published
- Publish - Make a draft service live
- Archive - Hide from active list without canceling existing subscriptions (restorable)
- Description History - View and revert to previous description versions
Customer Controls
- Customer Self-Cancel - Per-service toggle allowing customers to cancel immediately or schedule a cancellation without contacting the provider
- Customer Self-Pause - Per-service toggle allowing customers to pause without contacting the provider
Custom Term AI Help
- AI Improve - Improve the title, details, or abbreviated checkout summary for a custom term
- AI Create - Draft term details or an abbreviated checkout summary when the custom term has a title
- Review AI Suggestions - Review, edit, accept, or reject AI-suggested wording before saving
Pricing, Intro Pricing & Fees
Main Pricing
- Service Price - Primary price customers pay. Services can currently sell in AUD, NZD, USD, EUR, GBP, or CAD
- Display Price - Formatted price shown to customers including any fee adjustments
- Minimum / Maximum Price - Standard Newie limits are 0.50 minimum and 20,000 maximum in the service currency. Current limits are checked while creating or editing a service and can vary by currency, service type, and payment method
- Price Preview - See what customers will pay before publishing
- Add Fee to Price - Increases the service price so transaction fees are covered; customer sees a single all-inclusive price
- Custom Pricing - Create special prices for specific customers via custom links
Setup Fees
- Setup Fee - One-time fee charged immediately at purchase, before any recurring payments
- Setup Fee Validation - Min/max limits enforced relative to the main price; auto-removed if main price changes push it outside limits
Intro Pricing
- Intro Pricing - A starting price that applies for a limited period before the main price takes effect (subscriptions only)
- Intro Type: Pay As You Go - Customer pays a set price per billing period during the intro, then switches to the main price
- Intro Type: Pay Upfront - Customer pays a lump sum upfront for the entire intro period, then moves to per-period billing
- Intro Type: Discounted - A percentage discount off the main price for a limited number of billing periods
- Intro Price Validation - Cannot be zero; min/max limits enforced; auto-removed if main price changes push it outside limits
Price Changes
- Edit Pricing / Change Price (Individual) - Modify the price for a single subscriber, with a selectable start date. Fixed-term subscriptions use Change Price
- Temporary Price Change - Set a different price for a limited number of payments, then revert
- Permanent Price Change - New price remains until the subscription ends or is updated
- Bulk Price Change - Update pricing for multiple existing subscribers on eligible ongoing subscription services from the service

Fee Structure
- Standard Transaction Fees - Current fee amounts are listed in the Fees & Limits Reference
- BNPL Fee - Shown in the service editor for an eligible One-Off Purchase when BNPL is enabled and calculated for the selected price, currency, and fee setting
- Terms of Service Add-On - Additional per-transaction fee; see the Fees & Limits Reference
- Digital Downloads Add-On - Free (no additional fee)
- Dispute Processing Fee - $0 currently. Newie does not currently pass Stripe dispute processing fees on to providers. Stripe’s own dispute and countered-dispute fees vary by country and can change, so use Stripe’s current pricing pages for Stripe-only comparisons
- All-Inclusive - Fees cover payment processing, storefronts, QR codes, Tap to Pay, subscriber tools, emails, chat, and more
Add-Ons - Terms of Service, Digital Downloads & Welcome Email
Terms of Service
- Terms of Service Toggle - Enable per service; customers must agree before purchasing (+0.4% fee)
- Checkout Agreement Checkbox - Customizable label shown at checkout for customer consent
- Default Terms - Pre-built terms (liability waivers, cancellation, refunds) that can be toggled on/off
- Custom Terms - Create individual terms, each covering one specific condition or clause
- AI Term Improvement - AI can improve the language of custom terms
- AI Create / Improve - Draft or improve term details and abbreviated checkout summaries, then review the result before saving
- Icon - Select the icon shown for a custom term
- Preview Terms - Preview how terms appear to customers at checkout
- Agreed Terms Record - Stored record of who agreed and when; agreed terms are available to view or download and are included in the New Purchase email when Terms of Service is enabled
- Billing Actions - Terms document the agreement; pricing changes and scheduled cancellation are handled through service actions
Digital Downloads
- Digital Download Toggle - Enable per service; the New Purchase email includes the download link when a customer buys (no additional fee)
- Automatic Delivery - Files are delivered automatically through the New Purchase email
- Supported Files - eBooks, PDFs, Excel files, and other digital content (max 500 MB, no special characters in filename, single extension only)
- Cross-Service Sharing - Same file can be attached to multiple services
- File Update Options - When updating a shared file, choose to update for all services or just one
Welcome Email
- Welcome Email Toggle - Enable per service; customers receive a custom email immediately after purchase or sign-up
- Custom Message Content - Add a personalized message, links to Calendly, Google Docs, or other resources
- Direct Reply - Customers can reply directly to the provider’s email address
Store, Groups, Links & QR Codes
Web Store
- Newie Web Store - Dedicated storefront website for each provider where customers can view and purchase services
- Public Store - Store can be publicly available when published to the web; search appearance depends on indexing and external discoverability
- Private Store - Store accessible only via direct link or QR code
- Store Customization - Select which services and groups to showcase
Groups
- Service Groups - Organize related services into named categories
- Group Image - Custom image per group, displayed instead of the profile image
- Add / Remove Services - Select which services belong in each group
- Reorder Services & Groups - Drag to reorder within groups and control group display order
- Delete Group - Remove a group permanently
Links & Sharing
- Share Link - Share a service payment link through the system share sheet
- Copy Offering ID - Copy the service’s Offering ID from the service share sheet for Zapier filters and service-specific automations
- Custom Links - Generate links with custom pricing or start date overrides
- Store URL - Shareable link to the full storefront
- Group Links - Share a link to a specific service group
- Customer Manage Link - Self-service link for a customer’s purchase. It can appear in New Purchase emails, failed-payment emails, overdue emails, and Overdue Assistant emails, and providers can copy or share it from the app. Customers use it to update payment details, manage overdue invoices, retry failed payments, and use subscription controls where enabled
QR Codes
- Store QR Code - Scannable code linking to the web store
- Service QR Codes - Scannable code for individual services
- Save to Photos - Download QR codes for printing or sharing
Social Sharing
- Share Sales - Create a shareable sales chart image from the Sales screen
- Share Recents - Share recent subscriber or purchase activity
